IS THERE SUCH A THING AS KARMA?
  • Buddha
  • Karma is Sanskrit meaning action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).
    It’s very easily confused with the religious doctrine of guilt and judgement. Karma is a natural law of cause and effect. The concept of guilt and judgement is associated particularly with Western religion where punishment is meted out for wrong-doing.
    The Eastern notion of karma is pragmatic, whereas the Western adaptation of karma tends to add the elements of fear and judgement. You’re never expected to pay for your deeds through some cosmic judging system because no such system exists except for in your beliefs.
    If you are fearful, if you cannot love yourself then your mind and body will reflect your beliefs - this is karma in action;

    The only person judging you is yourself.

There is no god that will judge you – the ground-of-all-being which is Consciousness is yours without cost or caveats. The ground-of-all-being is life afirming, unconditional and creative.

When you ‘touch’ this source you experience it as limitless love.
