As a child I imagined God looked like Colonel Sanders. By the time of my adolescence He had morphed into something more complex and mysterious. Some years later I came upon the following footnotes in Mark Anders ‘Conversations With Naboth’:
• Worship is nonsense.
• Consciousness creates reality.
• The mind and body are not conscious - they are in Consciousness.
• ‘You’ are Consciousness witnessing a body and mind which you mistake for ‘You’.
• ‘You’ are a co-creator of reality.
Hmm! The buck stops with me...
In Conversations With Naboth, Mark Anders continues...
‘If you must, then imagine ‘God’ (All-That-Is, Consciousness, reality, the universe - whatever you call ‘It’) as a ‘Being’ in which all life - from ants to zebras, from bacteria to sequoia - have their essential functions in the ‘body’ of the Being.
Humans, also, have an essential role in the functioning of the Being. Whatever role you play is vital to the continued existence of this ‘Being’.
All experience is necessary - there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ experience. Some life-forms - perhaps you or I - are part of the ‘consciousness’ of this Being, in other words we are to some degree aware of the part we’re playing and able to have some control in life’s co-creation of reality’.
